Classes Relocated Temporarily
Please note: On April 7, 2009 University City residents approved Proposition U, a $53.6M zero-tax-rate increase bond issue measure that includes the construction of two new elementary schools - Barbara Jordan and Pershing. Both are to be built on their existing sites; as well as the renovations of and additions to Jackson Park and Flynn Park Elementary
Schools, Brittany Woods Middle School and University City High School.
These projects are within the School District of University City and will
impact the daily operations of the University City Adult Education and
Literacy Program (AEL), as elementary students will be temporarily housed in the McNair Building, current home of the AEL program, until completion of both new schools.
