The University City Adult Educatio and Literacy Program
has a new temporary (next three years) satellite site at New City
Fellowship, 1483 82nd Street, St. Louis, MO 63132. Day and Evening
classes will be held there for GED and English as a Second Language and
Literacy tutoring will be held there Monday through Thursday weekly.
Orientation & Pre-Assessment Intake Sessions will take place on the following dates at the New City Fellowship location:

Depending on the AEL Program you are interested in will determine the orientation process, below are the procedures for each program:
ESL Program:
- Orientation and Registration is by scheduled dates only.
- Please contact Ms. Tolliver for more details, she is located in the main office.
- You should plan to spend at least one to two hours in the classroom, complete a registration form, take an English Assessment Test(s), and then you will be registered for the English classes of your choice with help from the intake staff.

GED Program:
- Orientation and Registration is by scheduled dates only.
- Complete an enrollment form and take assessment test(s).
- 16 - 17 year olds will need to have an official withdrawal from High School along with an official letter from your former high school principal giving you permission to take the GED.
- Classes are held Mornings: Monday thru Thursday (9-1)
Evenings - Monday and Thursday ONLY (6-9)

Literacy Education:

In order for you to reach your goals while enrolled here, it is recommended that you attend classes daily and study outside of class. Your daily attendance is important. The school will also conduct progress testing to help you determine your academic growth in the program(s). After 60 hours of attendance, please ask your teacher if you are ready for Progress Testing.
