University City Adult Education and Literacy Program
Guide to Program Entry

Please complete the form below to ensure your preparedness to attend classes held here at the University City Adult Education and Literacy Program.  When considering our class offering, please ensure that your personal schedule permits your regular attendance. Academic progression general occurs after 60-100 hours of attendance. For some individuals, this could occur prior to these hours.

What area of study are you interested in entering? (check one)
English as a Second Language (ESL) English study for non-native speakers of English.
General Educational Development (GED) Preparation for GED Exam also academic improvement in the areas of Math, Language Arts Reading& Writing.
Literacy Education (LE) Beginning level study through our one-on-one tutoring sessions for those that are functioning at the basic academic level.
   
Which cycle are you interested in attending? (check one)
Fall Cycle A (late August to Mid October)
Fall Cycle B (late October to Mid December)
Spring Cycle A (late January to late March)
Spring Cycle B (early April to late March)
   
Classes ranging between two and three hours are available daily, as well as evenings. Class selection will occur after you have completed the intake process. Please sign up for one of the orientation and registration sessions below.

* Please note that you must be 17 years of age to enroll in our program and not currently enrolled in any secondary school/program.  Individuals that are 16 years of age and have completed 16 credit units from a secondary school/program would also be eligible to attend the program with a letter from their former secondary school/program verifying the student completion of the credits and formal withdrawal.
